The Polesworth School is the lead school within a successful partnership that spans a large area of the Midlands.  Our schools are located in North Warwickshire, Staffordshire, and Derbyshire, and we also have links with schools in the Telford and Wrekin areas.  The schools within our Alliance offer both salaried and non-salaried training places and provide the opportunity for trainees to experience teaching in a wide variety of settings.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates who have either recently graduated (or about to graduate), or for those looking to change career path.  We want people with excellent communication skills, who can demonstrate their potential to become outstanding teachers.

Ensuring excellent relationships for learning are a prerequisite for all other achievements. You will work in an environment where mutual respect between young people, and all other members of our school communities make learning fun, albeit in a disciplined and caring environment where the highest expectations are the norm.  You will actively participate in our Professional Learning Programme, receiving rigorous and regular professional development so that you can progress to becoming an outstanding teacher.

The Gateway Alliance (Midlands) School Direct Partnership comprises a wide range of primary and special schools from across the Warwickshire, Coventry and surrounding areas. We are one of the largest Primary School Direct providers in the area and we work in partnership with the University of Warwick to offer a range of both salaried and tuition fee teacher training courses.   We offer a comprehensive training and support programme which is led by our experienced lead mentors and utilises the strengths from our partner schools.  Being such a large partnership we are able to offer a range of NQT employment options for all successful trainees and offer continuing support and development opportunities throughout your future career.

Kenilworth School is the lead school for the Kenilworth Partnership. Judged outstanding in all categories in 2013, we are proud of our school of distinction, recognised nationally and internationally for innovative, high quality education and excellent examination results; a school which inspires all of our young people to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

We work in partnership with the University of Warwick to provide outstanding ITT provision. Successful candidates will complete their PGCE allowing them to achieve Qualified Teacher Status as well as gaining 90 CATs points towards their Masters.

We co-ordinate School Direct training throughout our partner schools: Myton School, Campion School, Trinity Catholic School and Aylesford School & Sixth Form.

Shires Teaching School Alliance is a partnership between Studley High School (the lead school), University of Worcester and ten other local outstanding or good schools, offering the opportunity to train to teach through a one year post graduate programme.

By choosing ‘School Direct’ you are opting to spend a significant time in class, putting to practice the ‘theory’ of learning and applying the knowledge gained on a daily basis. You’ll become part of the team, treated as a professional and supported throughout.

You will experience teaching in at least two schools within the alliance, mentored all the way. Your timetable will build as you start to develop your teacher toolkit. Once you successfully complete the programme, you will achieve QTS (qualified teacher status) and a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education).
